Appointment Information
I offer the option of in-person or telehealth (via a HIPAA compliant platform) appointments. I work with each individual to decide what modality works best, mindful of current pandemic-related health considerations.
Scheduling
I see clients by appointment on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
We will collaborate on a shared focus and direction for our work together. In general, we will identify a regularly scheduled time to meet, typically on a weekly or every-other-week basis in the beginning. Throughout our work together, we will revisit your needs, goals, and our working relationship to ensure that our time and focus is responding to your needs.
Fees/Payment
I respect that therapy is an investment of time, energy, and money. We will collaborate together to help your investment most benefit your growth and your well-being. Please contact me directly for specific information about fees; I’d be happy to send an informational document with these details to you.
A half-hour initial consultation is available at no cost. This is a way for you to ask questions you might have about the therapy process or about working with me. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy and explore whether work together would be a mutual fit. If needed, I will provide you with referrals to additional providers.
I have chosen not to be an in-network provider with insurance companies at this time. Some clients pay with an HSA (Health Saving Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account) card. Should you choose to seek potential reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits, I would be happy to provide a detailed receipt that you may submit to your insurance company. (It is your responsibility to check with your insurance company to understand your plan and out-of-network benefits to determine possible reimbursement.) Please know that clients who choose to use insurance benefits will need to meet criteria for and be provided with a mental health diagnosis.
It is important to me that I have an equitable practice, so if you are in need of services on a sliding scale, please ask. I serve a percentage of my clients in this way, based on financial need.
Consistent with the No Surprises Act, I provide every client with a Good Faith Estimate, which is a document explaining what your care will cost. All healthcare providers are required to notify clients of their federal rights and protections against “surprise billing.” Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. If you have any questions or seek more information regarding your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or any more information regarding session fees, please reach out to me directly.
