Individual Therapy

I work individually with adults (18+) of all ages. I bring experience working with a range of concerns—anxiety, depression, vocational discernment and career-related concerns, grief and loss, religious/spiritual concerns, relationship dynamics, and burnout/resilience. I would be glad to talk with you about whether my training and experience are a good fit for you.

Particular interests and areas of expertise:

  • Individual and relational development — Supporting self-understanding, clarifying one’s values, finding one’s voice, cultivating self-acceptance

  • Healing from early relational trauma — Recovery from challenging early life experiences, including childhood emotional neglect or difficult family systems

  • Grief and loss — Including bereavement and losses of all kinds, including community or homeland or relationship

  • Navigating life transitions — Adjusting to new roles or communities, entering new seasons of life, cross-cultural or international transitions

  • Spiritual and cultural well-being — Exploring what nourishes well-being and wholeness. When meaningful, we give attention to the complexities of one’s religious / spiritual culture or community—respecting that these can hold the capacity for meaning and healing as well as be sources of harm or pain.

Presentations, Teaching

I enjoy opportunities for presentations, teaching, and group facilitation. Some topics of experience and interest include posttraumatic growth, grief and loss, mindful self-compassion, intersections of psychology and spirituality, multicultural counseling, cultural adjustment, and resilience.
